Known as Huang-Qin in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Scutellaria baicalensis (Chinese Skullcap) has been used for centuries as one of the foundational herbs in Chinese herbal formulas. Its root is rich in flavonoids — including baicalin, baicalein, and wogonin — which have drawn extensive modern pharmacological research.
Our tincture is crafted from USDA Certified Organic Scutellaria baicalensis root using a true dual-fraction extraction — a full 95% ethanol extraction followed by a separate full water extraction, combined to capture the broadest range of constituents, honoring both the traditional water decoction method and the flavonoid-rich profile ethanol draws out.
